The team faced another defeat with the same scoreline and took the third position at the end.

Moving towards the grand finals, ZETA was looking confident from the very beginning. The head-to-head battle was looking to turn out into an exciting final match but ZETA stopped their opponent without providing any opportunity. After taking the first two sets, the scoreline was 2-0. Then the runner-up made a comeback to set it for a 2-1. Then, the following two sets were also won by the champion team to settle the final score at 4-1, winning the trophy home.

The BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) 2023 ended on the 27th of August 2023 with team Gladiators Esports becoming the crowned champion. After fierce battles in the BGMI maps, the team won the series with a single-point lead. Orangutan became the runner-up. The event was a nerve-wracking show of intense action, a strategic move, and dominance of the teams. Justin from the champion team became the MVP of the event.

BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) 2023 started on the 4th of August with a massive INR 2.1 crore (over USD 250K) prize pool, the highest for any third-party event in India. 24 teams joined the fight and the top 16 were promoted to the grand finals. The grand finals took place at NODWIN Gaming Arena in Dehli.

The champion team’s journey throughout the BGMS 2023

BGMS 2023 champion Gladiators Esports finished in the top 5 in the league and later had to participate in the playoffs. The team could not do well in the stage and being the 11th-positioned team, they went to the finals. In the grand finals, hot candidates like Blind eSports, Global Esports, OREsports, etc. were keeping their eyes on the trophy and the huge prize pool of ₹1 crore.

Orangutan was looking to keep their hands on the trophy but being eliminated in the 14th sport and getting zero points fell heavy on them. On the other hand, the champion took the 7th position along with 6 elimination points that gave them a single-point lead to lift the trophy.

Gladiators Esports won ₹1 crore being the champion

The event featured a huge prize pool and being the champion, Gladiators Esports took a lion’s share of being the BGMS 2023 champion. The prize distribution in the BGMS 2023 is as follows.

Before the grand finals, 24 teams joined the event to play a league stage phase. Later, the top 20 made it to the next phase while the top 4 was promoted to the grand finals. The mighty sensation and bearer of the Indian esports flag at the global level, GodLike Esports, failed to qualify for the playoffs. Later on, 16 teams played in the playoff stage, and the top 12 were qualified for the grand finals. Another shock came on the stage as the fan-favorite Team SouL failed to qualify for the finals. The PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2023 PEL Qualifier is over with Six Two Eight being the ultimate champion. The team, besides being the table topper, has also booked a direct ticket to the upcoming biggest event of PUBG Mobile Esports, the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2023. 15 teams joined the event and played for four consecutive days and a total of 24 matches to determine which team would go to the most prestigious stage of PUBG Mobile Esports at the end of the year.

Six Two Eight(STE) was crowned as the champions in the finals with 204 points, followed by ThunderTalk Gaming as the runners-up with 197 points and All Gamers as the second runners-up with 178 points.

The champion team’s run through the PMGC 2023 PEL Qualifier

The PMGC 2023 PEL Qualifier champion had a decent run throughout the whole event. ThunderTalk Gaming, the runner-up, of the event was the only team to come closer to the champion team by point calculations. While the crowned champion STE gathered 204 total points in 24 matches, the runner-up could gather 197 in total. A thin gap of 7 points made the champion to see another international event.

On the initial day of the event, Vision Esports took the first match and STE finished in the second. Later, the champion topped the day after a consistent play. Though Tong Jia Bao Esports was running hot behind them, the team had to end the day being the second.

After the second day of the event, Tong Jia Bao Esports came down to the third position while All Gamers stayed at the second position. However, no team could make enough threats to take down STE from the top. The third day passed the same with no changes in the top three. Nova Esports came fifth after the day. As the final day approached, the runner team emerged to show great gameplay and climbed to the top two. A tough battle was passing throughout the day but STE, the PMGC 2023 PEL Qualifier champion, was decorated enough to be the best.

Nova Esports failed to qualify for the PMGC 2023

Besides STE being the PMGC 2023 PEL Qualifier champion, the most surprising thing is that Nova Esports is going to miss the PMGC 2023. The team was the winner of the PMGC 2020 and PMGC 2021. Nova Esports is, arguably, considered the the best PUBG Mobile Esports team. The team has failed to qualify for the global championship by gathering the required PEL Summer 2023 points. Then, the team has to join the qualifier league for a spot in the world championship. But sadly, they missed again.

However, there’s still a thin chance for the team to be seen on the global stage. Fans will be able to watch Nova Esports competing for the world championship if the team gets a special invite. PUBG Mobile Esports has three invited slots (one is for the grand finals, and the rest two are for the league stage) for the PMGC 2023.

Besides, another powerhouse in the PUBG Mobile Esports world, Four Angry Men (4AM), will also miss the upcoming international event. The team finished the event in the 12th position. It will be exciting to watch the Chinese powerhouses competing against the rest of the world, especially PMGC 2023 PEL Qualifier champion STE.

The Indonesian team Alter Ego Ares has become the champion of the PUBG Mobile Super League (PMSL) SEA Fall 2023. The event is one of the few regional leagues with over 2 slots for the upcoming global event of PUBG Mobile Esports. Gathering a total of 163 points, the team won the champion title just by a small margin of 4 points. Besides, the top 6 teams have qualified for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2023.

Introduced in the South East Asia, the esports event featured a total of 20 teams. It was offline and took place at Sunway Velocity Mall, Kuala Lumpur. PMSL SEA Fall 2023 was organized by KRAFTONLevel Infinite, and VSPO.

The champion team’s journey in the event

The top 16 teams from the league stage moved to the grand finals. On the three-day grand finals, fans get to witness the ups and downs of some teams while others write their conquest history. However, the initial match of the 18 was taken away by PMWI 2023 champion Vampire Esports. FaZe Clan took the day away extraordinarily well as the team won two chicken dinners on day 1. The champion Alter Ego Ares was placed at the bottom of the table with just 39 points, a clear gap of 46 points from the table topper.

On the next day of the event, Alter Ego Ares could not stand against the other teams once again and fell short in total points to come up even in the top 10. The champion of PMSL SEA Fall 2023 has managed to gather a subtotal of 73 points after the second day. On the other hand, the topper and would-be champion FaZe accumulated 125 points. But, the surprise was about to come as PUBG Mobile God wrote the fate differently. While no one could ever imagine that a team could climb up from the 13th position to become the champion, Alter Ego Ares has done it to shut everyone’s mouth.

A remarkable show of great game sense, total domination, and strategic moves was performed by the champion team. With the inhuman performance by the team on the very last day, Alter Ego Ares was the rightful team to hold the trophy high. Except for the last match, the team came in the top 3 in each match on the final day and won two matches being the top as well. After the end of the day, the champion team scored 4 points more than the runner-up. FaZe missed a golden opportunity by not becoming able to be the champion.

A lion’s share was taken by the PMSL SEA Fall 2023 champion

The event featured a whopping $250,000 as the prize pool. Becoming the champion, Alter Ego Ares pocketed a lion’s share of the prize money. They took $45,000 home while the runner-up and the third-placed team took $25,000 and $14,000 respectively. The rest of the share of each team is given below.

Team PositionPrize Money
4th$10,000
5th$8,000
6th$6,000
7th-8th$4,000
9th-12th$2,600
13th-16th$1,500

As the events are closing region by region, the schedule of PMGC 2023 is crawling near. While some teams have already qualified for the global championship by their PMGC points, some others are going to the event by winning these regional championships. However, the year-finale event is going to be the biggest attraction of PUBG Mobile Esports as all the best of the best will compete there to wear the world champion crown. PMSL SEA Fall 2023 champion Alter Ego Ares will be one of the strongest contenders that we can tell for sure.
