Gladiators Esports is crowned as the champions of the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) 2023

The champion won a total of ₹1 crore!

The BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) 2023 ended on the 27th of August 2023 with team Gladiators Esports becoming the crowned champion. After fierce battles in the BGMI maps, the team won the series with a single-point lead. Orangutan became the runner-up. The event was a nerve-wracking show of intense action, a strategic move, and dominance of the teams. Justin from the champion team became the MVP of the event.

BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) 2023 started on the 4th of August with a massive INR 2.1 crore (over USD 250K) prize pool, the highest for any third-party event in India. 24 teams joined the fight and the top 16 were promoted to the grand finals. The grand finals took place at NODWIN Gaming Arena in Dehli.

The champion team’s journey throughout the BGMS 2023

BGMS 2023 champion Gladiators Esports finished in the top 5 in the league and later had to participate in the playoffs. The team could not do well in the stage and being the 11th-positioned team, they went to the finals. In the grand finals, hot candidates like Blind eSports, Global Esports, OREsports, etc. were keeping their eyes on the trophy and the huge prize pool of ₹1 crore.

Only 12 matches were played in the grand finals where the BGMS 2023 champion team managed to take two WWCDs. Orangutan was looking to keep their hands on the trophy but being eliminated in the 14th sport and getting zero points fell heavy on them. On the other hand, the champion took the 7th position along with 6 elimination points that gave them a single-point lead to lift the trophy.

The event featured a huge prize pool and being the champion, Gladiators Esports took a lion’s share of being the BGMS 2023 champion. The prize distribution in the BGMS 2023 is as follows.

Besides, Justin (Gladiators Esports) became the MVP with 85 eliminations beside his name. Akshat (Team SouL) won a TVS Raide Bike after becoming the Fan Favourite Raider.

Before the grand finals, 24 teams joined the event to play a league stage phase. Later, the top 20 made it to the next phase while the top 4 was promoted to the grand finals. The mighty sensation and bearer of the Indian esports flag at the global level, GodLike Esports, failed to qualify for the playoffs. Later on, 16 teams played in the playoff stage, and the top 12 were qualified for the grand finals. Another shock came on the stage as the fan-favorite Team SouL failed to qualify for the finals. Without the two fallen stars, the show continued and finally, the champion of the BGMS 2023 was Gladiators Esports.
