Niantic’s Monster Hunter Now soft launches for Android in select regions: Here’s how to download and play

Find and hunt the monsters lurking in shadows!

Niantic and Capcom‘s AR title Monster Hunter Now is now available as soft launch for Android devices in select countries including Canada, Hong Kong, Sweden, and Singapore. The game was announced back in April this year and started pre-registration in July that crossed 1 million mark. Monster Hunter Now is slated to release globally on September 14th for both Android and iOS devices.

Find and hunt monsters and save your surroundings in Monster Hunter Now

In the game, you take on the role of a hunter who needs to hunt monsters to save his surroundings. It features similar gameplay mechanics as Niantic’s popular game Pokémon Go and players can explore nearby areas to find and hunt monsters. They can also partner up and fight against monsters with the hunters nearby.

Monster Hunter Now has also released a new character, Quality with the soft launch. She was one of the best monster hunters in the age but retired and vowed to devote her life to train the younger generation. She has now accidently arrived to this world and knows much about the monsters and could help hunters in hunting the formidable monsters. It’d very interesting as to what she brings to the game and gameplay.

Monster Hunter universe has been pretty successful with a large and loyal player base owing to its good number of games and spinoffs. The game will be coming with the original gameplay but will differ in combat mechanics and controls making it challenging but exciting for the players.
