Skill Analysis

Vale is a hero with the common four skill sets of one passive and three actives. In this Vale guide, let’s see what are his abilities in Mobile Legends, and when you can use which skill to get the best out of him.

Passive – Windtalk

passive

Vale’s passive windtalk gives enhanced effects on Vale’s skill depending on his level, whenever you reach level 4/6/8, you can enhance one of his skills. There are two options for each skill. The AoE skill is marked as Yellow and the Damage increased skill is Blue in color. Keep that in mind each skill can only be enhanced once and make sure to choose it according to your opponent. Once you enhance one of your skills, you have to bear the enhancement of the rest of the game.

Vale gains a stack of Windtalk each time he kills or assists to kill an enemy hero. Each stack will provide him a certain amount of movement speed and this can be stacked up to 10 times.

Skill 1 – Wind Blade (AoE)

skill 1

It is vale’s first skill, he will unleash two dynamic-wind blades in a designated area while dealing total 500/580/660/740/820/900 amount of magical damage. Now let’s understand its enhancement by his passive skill. His passive lets you choose an enhancement between Area Increase or Damage Increase. When choosing an enhancement it will change the icon of the skill, not only that it will also change the color of the skill effect.

Wind Blade (Scatter) (Area of Effect option)

The area of the Windblade width will increase, and the cooldown is reduced to 4 seconds. The skill color is Blue.

Wind Blade (Sorrow) (Damage increase option)

The damage of each wind blade will be increased to 300/350/400/450/500/550 and deal total 600/700/800/900/1000/1100 amount of magic damage. It will also the speed of the wind blade. The skill color is Orange.

Skill 2 – Windblow (CC)

skill 2

It is Vale’s second skill. Vale will release a Tornado towards the enemy while dealing 410/450/490/530/570/610 amount of magical damage and slow down the enemies by 40% for 2 seconds. His passive lets you choose an enhancement between Area Effect or Damage Increase. When choosing an enhancement it will change the icon of the skill, not only that it will also change the color of the skill effect.

Windblow (Control) (Crowd Control Effect option)

Hitting with this skill will knock up the enemy into the air for 1 second. The skill color is Blue.

Windblow (Fix) (Damage increase option)

Hitting with this skill will release an additional whirlwind in a designated direction which will deal 150/165/180/195/210/225 amount of magical damage for the next 2 seconds and slowing them down by 40%. This is Stop-by-hit effect damage. The skill color is Orange.

Skill 3 – Windstorm (Burst)

skill 3

This is vale’s ultimate skill, he will summon a storm in a ring-shaped designated area and it will explode after 1.5 seconds while dealing 800/1000/1200 amount of base damage. His passive lets you choose an enhancement between Control Effect or Damage Increase. When choosing an enhancement it will change the icon of the skill, not only that it will also change the color of the skill effect.

Windstorm (Gather) (Crowd Control Effect option)

The storm’s center will pull all the enemies in middle for 2 seconds and then it will explode and deal magic damage to them. It is Blue in color.

Windstorm (Death) (Damage increase option)

Upon casting this skill the storm circle will explode after 1.5 seconds while dealing with 1200/1500/1800 amount of increased base damage. The color of the skill is orange.

Skill-up Methods for Vale

You can upgrade and combine the skills as you want after you have a good grip on his skill setup. Here in this Mobile Legends guide, we will explain Three basic Skill-combinations that will help you to gain a better understanding of his skills and will help to play Vale to his highest potential.

Combo 1: Makes enemies believe they can Escape

combo 1

We mainly focus on Crowd Controlling enemy and also doing a decent amount of Damage by his first skill. For that, we need to upgrade his skills in this particular order,

At the first Upgrade Skill 1 first once. Then Upgrade Skill 2 to Lvl 2. Now when Vale reaches Hero Lvl 4 don’t choose Ultimate to upgrade rather choose his Second Skill as CC ( knock-up ). Then at Hero Lvl 5 just upgrade his Ultimate as normal. Then upgrade his Ult to CC ( slow effect ) when he reaches Hero Lvl 6. And choose First skill as Damage when Vale reaches Lvl 8. After this point you have to upgrade your First skill to max first, then Second skill and Ultimate whenever available.

Note: This build makes you play as a support, with a lot of CC and a decent amount of damage. Getting kills is pretty good but don’t go overboard, stay at the backline, and support in team fights with that annoying ‘ low-cd ‘ Second skill as much as possible.

Combo 2: Makes your enemies believe they can Fly

combo 2

This combination mainly focus on Damage .Upgrade in the following order

At the first Upgrade Skill 1 at the start of the game. Then Upgrade Skill 2 to level 2. Now when Vale reaches Hero Level 4 don’t choose Ultimate to upgrade rather choose his Second Skill as CC ( knock-up ). Then at Hero Lvl 5 just upgrade his Ultimate as normal. Then upgrade his Ult to Damage effect when he reaches Hero Level 6. And finally, choose the First skill as Damage when Vale reaches Level 8. After this max Skill 1 first, then Skill 2 and Ultimate whenever available.

Combo 3: Makes your enemies believe you gonna Die

combo 3

You can use this last combo to control the enemy units very easily but it does not always work due to lack of skill sync. The increased area will help you but damage enhanced skill 2 will not get you out from the tricky situation. Upgrade your skill 2 first, then skill one and ultimate whenever available.

Mobile Legends Vale Gameplay Tips

We will suggest you go in the mid lane when you are playing as a Vale. In this new laning system, the tank will not always available to babysit you. According to his damage type and skill combos, we can break it down into three parts. Our Vale guide includes the perfect game plan for the early and mid/late game in Mobile Legends. However, a player must need a good understanding of the map to bring the best out of any hero.

Early Game

Buy two magic necklace, cause Vale’s mana drains quickly, so if you are using demon shoes with Mage Emblem then the portion of your regenerated mana will increase.Mid lane is perfect for you to level up quickly.Do not leave your mid lane for the very next four minutes after starting the game.Use skill 1 and skill 2 to clear minion waves.

Vale in the battlefield

Try to take a blue buff if your jungler does not need that. Skill 1 is a little bit hard to aim, so use bushes to measure your skill line, and when it is perpendicular to the enemy use it. After reaching level 4 try to rotate in Top lane in order to do a successful gank.

Mid Game

Do not try to farm alone with Vale. It will drain your mana, not only that it will also waste a lot of time and Exp. It is the perfect time to shine on the battlefield, so whenever you are ganking try to stick with your Tank/Fighter. Try to focus on building your core item e.g clock of destiny. In mid-game your Ultimate has a longer CD and Fleeting time also not equipped, but don’t panic! When your Ulti on cooldown use skill 2 and skill 1 combo to harass enemy heroes. Skill 2 CC makes it easier to cast your skill 1. Skill 1 damage is very important in this stage to kill enemy carry so don’t auto-cast it.

Late Game

In this stage now you can use vale as an assassin. He can deal massive damage if he reaches his max level and his item build is done. Try to hide in the bush and wait for the perfect moment.

When your Tank or fighter initiates a team fight always make sure that your ultimate covers enemy teams damage dealers, do not waste it on tanks. Wait for enemies to use their blink skills first, cause vales Ulti will take 1.5 seconds to complete the damage. We already told you that you can use different types of combos and build on vale according to the situation, but in this case, we will show you how it works.

Skill 2 (crowd control effect)+Skill 3 (CC effect) + Skill1 (damage increased)

In this situation try to hit most of the enemies with skill 2 then use the ultimate on them. If some of them try to escape or survive from ultimate damage finish them with your skill one. In case if you missed your skill 2 don’t use ultimate unnecessary.

Mobile Legends heroes that can counter Vale

  • Franco
  • Selena
  • Chou
  • Helcurt
  • Natalia

Final Thoughts

From above we can clearly see that Vale’s base damage is too high to melt down the enemy’s life but Vale is very fragile near enemy damage dealers. So don’t play aggressive in the early game as too many deaths will make you useless.try to build your stacks faster to enhance your attacks. Hard stun, silence is very bad for vale. When you are enhancing your damage output build magic damage items first. Do not try to to enhance skill one’s area effect unnecessary, cause vale is mainly depended upon his damage which came from Skill 1.

Project Next update is on the way so things may be changed a little bit through the patch, we will keep you updated. Meanwhile, these tips will surely help you to guide easy wins with Vale in Mobile Legends.
