Skill Analysis
Hanzo is a hero with the common four skill sets of one passive and three actives. In this Hanzo guide, let’s see what are his abilities in Mobile Legends, and when you can use which skill to get the best out of him.
Passive – Ame no Habakiri
Hanzo socks the souls of the eliminated units nearby, these souls will turn into Demon Blood. The red bar under the Health bar indicates your Demon Blood count. You will get 2 demon blood for each nonhero unit and 20 for the hero. He gains some additional demon blood during his ultimate but it will be explained later.
Skill 1 – Ninjutsu: Demon Feast (Burst)
CD – 25 seconds
Hanzo will devour a target creep, minion, turtle, and even the lord with this skill. Each basic attack will give Hanzo a charge for demon feast temporarily, after gaining 5 charges this skill unlocked, which will be last for the next 6.5 sec. Upon casting this skill the target enemy instantly devoured and its digested over a period of time.
Hanzo will also get demon blood 10/12/14/16/18/20 right after digesting the unit. Now if we are talking about turtle and lord, instead of devouring them, they will receive 500/700/900/1100/1300/1500 amount of true damage. Remember one thing this skill can not be used against heroes.
Ninjutsu: Demon Thorn (Burst)
CD – 6 seconds
Hanzo’s first skill will be transformed into a demon thorn while in Demon Pneuma form. He will massage the enemies with the acupuncture. Each basic attack will give him a charge for demon thorn temporarily. After gaining 5 charges the skill will be unlocked while dealing with 300/350/400/450/500/550 amount of physical damage.
After completing the stacks his thorn will deal an extra 15/17/19/21/23/25 % of physical damage to targets Max HP. Not only that during extra damage the enemies will be knocked up in the air and Hanzo will gain 10 points of Demon Blood. Keep that in mind damage will be reduced for non-hero units.
Skill 2 – Ninjutsu: Soul Reap (AoE)
CD – 7.5 seconds
Hanzo will create a round-shaped spikey area in a designated direction while dealing with 160/200/240/280/320/360 amount of physical damage. When an enemy hit by it, it will re-strike and deal 40/50/60/70/80/90 amount of physical damage while slowing them down. It can hit an enemy up to 8 times and after every successful hit, Hanzo will get 1 demon blood.
Ninjutsu: Devastator (AoE) (Blink)
CD – 10 seconds
Hanzo’s second skill will be transformed into a devastator while in the Demon Pneuma form. Upon casting this skill demon Pneuma dashes towards the specified area while dealing 80/100/120/140/160/180 amount of physical damage to enemies. Now one important thing- if an enemy hits, the skill will repeat itself every after 0.3 seconds. The process will stop if skill hits no target or you move during casting. This skill can trigger basic attack effects and it will also unlock one seal of demon thorn.
Skill 3 – Kinjutsu: Pinnacle Ninja (Buff)
CD – 21/18/15
Upon casting this skill he will turn into Demon Pneuma. He will gain 20 demon blood and charges into a specified direction while leaving his original body behind. When Demon Pneuma is on he will have a different set of skills(which are already described above). This form will consume 10 demon blood every second and he can go through any obstacles, not only that his movement speed and attack speed will be increased by 30% but his physical and magical defence will be reduced by 50%.
If Demon Pneuma is killed then it will return back to his original body; stunning him for 3 seconds, slowing movement speed, and his physical and magical defense will be reduced by 100%(it will also reveal his main body location).In this Demon Pneuma form, you will have 2 buttons to click on your ultimate skill. You can either make the Demon Pneuma return to Hanzo’s body or else make Hanzo’s body go to the Demon Pneuma’s position and return to each other’s souls.
Skill-up Methods for Hanzo
Set your Skill 1 to max level first, prioritizing this skill makes the damage higher and you can deal burst damage to the target for an easy kill. Upgrade your second skill accordingly and Ultimate whenever available.
Best Emblem Set and Spells for Hanzo in Mobile Legends
Emblem Set
Assassin emblem is perfect for Hanzo. Put your points in this manner to enhance his skill effect. The physical pen section will play a great role in this emblem, don’t forget to kill enemies; your final talent point will boost your attack and movement whenever you kill an enemy. It will be a nice speed boost while you using Hanzo’s ultimate with this emblem set.

If you don’t want to use assassin emblem or you need more gold in an early stage you can easily use Jungle emblem and put your points like this. In this set, we mainly focus on getting gold by killing creeps using retribution.

Spells
The only battle spell we recommend for Hanzo is Retribution.In this new laning system you must use Retribution to carry the whole game and without using retribution you can not buy any jungle items.
If your team has too many CC heroes you can use Sprint but still don’t go for any other spells instead of Retribution. Retribution will help you to farm easily (it is the only ray of hope for junglers) and you can even use it to slow down the enemies (you have to upgrade your jungle item to level2).
Best Builds for Hanzo in Mobile Legends
Build 1
In both builds, we did not mention Raptor Machete, but since your main spell is Retribution it means you have to buy jungle item for sure, it will provide you more exp and gold; but after getting enough gold you can sell it in a later phase and complete this build. In this build, we are mainly focusing on Hanzo’s damage output and speedy attack. Corrosion Scythe & Scarlet Phantom will increase his attack speed significantly where Demon Sword and Fury will deal a mass damage side by side.

Build 2
By using this build you can literally kill enemies like paper, Here damage output is the main key to dominate. But to complete this build buy a jungle blade, max it to Raptor Machete. Try to kill creeps by using Retribution power (use Jungle emblem set). In this way, you can maintain your economy. Thunder belt will help you to chase enemies; if the enemy team has more tanky heroes don’t worry sell Jungle blade and replace it with Malefic roar. Endless and BoD are the core items for this build.

Mobile Legends Hanzo Gameplay Tips
Hanzo is a proper assassin and jungler, so all you have to do is to farm and Roam in the bushes to get kills on enemy squishy heroes. But now you can not use sprint so its a drawback in the early phase, However, according to Hanzo’s gameplay we can break it down into three phases. Our Hanzo guide includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late game in Mobile Legends. However, a player must need a good understanding of the map to bring the best out of any hero.
Early Game
After starting, unlock your first skill, buy lower grade boot. Then spam your basic attack on creep to stack it 5times. When devour is ready just steal the enemy blue buff and return to bot lane in order to help your mm, but if tank present there just clear the minion wave and take your red buff, If you want to Hyper.
Buff is the main key, so don’t miss your buffs. Whenever your retribution spell is ready, try to finish creeps or minions with its last hit, it will provide you more gold. After reaching level 4 try to do a successful gank and draw blood upon the enemy.
Mid Game
We know it sounds bad but trusts us Hanzo is useless without his items and Demon blood, so all you have to do, collect demon blood and at the same time follow the map to avoid being ganked. Once you get caught by enemy CC you will die. Spam your skill 2 in this phase to escape from the tricky situation and also you can collect Demon Blood by doing this.
When you use your ultimate in mid-phase always cast it from a safe position, that at least one of your teammates can save you. If your demon blood bar shows a minimum of 50% then cast your ultimate, cause if you run out of demon blood in the middle of a fight; your main body will reach straight in the enemy team and you will die surely because of 100% reduced defense or stun effect.
Late Game
In this phase, Hanzo will shine most on the battlefield, after near about 10 mins have crossed and he has got his core items. Hanzo will now wait for his team’s initiation, after a worthy initiate, he will make his own path to enemy squishy heroes and kill them with his shinigami style. But also remember enemy heroes (Assassin, Marksman) will also try to find you and end you so choose your bush wisely during Ultimate. Cast your skill combos like this to get an effective result-
Skill 3+ Skill 2+ Skill 1
In case if you missed enemy just press again ultimate lower button to return to his original body, or you may face some cases that after your ultimate 1/2 enemy (Tank, Fighter) will still alive with dot life, then after casting skill combos just press the upper ultimate button to summon your main body in Demon Pneuma’s position and cast skill 2 to finish them in Ninja style. These tips will surely help you to guide easy wins with Hanzo in Mobile Legends.
Final Thoughts
No doubt he is one of the best Meta Assassin in this season but instead of this he is very fragile; so the enemy with CC abilities can kill him very easily. To avoid this always focus on your game objective, follow the mini-map very efficiently, place your main body in a safe place where the enemy can not detect you easily. And the last thing if your opponent picks Natalia or Selena; do not even think about picking Hanzo.
