Mobile Legends Kimmy Guide: Best Emblem, Build and Gameplay Tips

Fighting Kimmy!

Kimmy grew up in a military family where she was taught to be straightforward, self-disciplined, and obedient. She had a passion for creating new inventions and used the shooting backpack and the chemical-powered splat gun she invented to serve the Empire Army. Kimmy is a unique marksman as she can deal both physical or magical damage depending on the build and with her jetpack, she has a unique mechanic which allows her to continuously shoot at enemies while moving around. In this Mobile Legends guide, we will take a look at the best emblem, spell, build, including tips and tricks to dominate every game with Kimmy.

Skill Analysis

Kimmy has three active skills and a passive skill like most other heroes in-game. In this Mobile Legends guide, we will also talk about the skills to use in certain scenarios as well as skill combos to be able to play Kimmy to her maximum potential.

Passive – Chemist’s Instinct (Buff)

kimmy passive

Kimmy can move and aim in other directions when using her Spray Gun but is often less accurate. Kimmy’s Spray Gun attack restores 5 energy on hit and deals (+23% Total Physical Attack) (+25% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage (scales with level, up to 115%, but only benefits from 75% of Kimmy’s Magic Lifesteal). Kimmy cannot gain extra Attack Speed and will convert every 1% Attack Speed she receives into 0.5 Movement Speed. Kimmy restores 15 energy, each time she kills an enemy.

skill 1 kimmy

Kimmy’s Basic Attack Basic Attack will change into an Energy Transformation Chemical Ball instead. Each Chemical Ball costs 5 energy and deals 35 (+23%-28% Total Physical Attack) (+25%-30% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage.

Chemical Balls that fail to hit a target will explode upon reaching the maximum range, dealing the same amount of damage to nearby enemies. Use again to return to normal Basic Attack. This skill can critically strike, but only benefits 40% of Kimmy’s Spell Vamp and 75% Magic Lifesteal.

Skill 2 – Chemical Refinement (Blink, AoE)

CD – 14.0/13.4/12.8/12.2/11.6/11.0

skill 2 kimmy

Kimmy shoots out an enhanced Chemical Spray and recoils in the opposite direction. Enemies that come into contact with the Spray on the path will take 14-24 (+30% Total Physical Attack) (+40% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage every 0.5 seconds and be slowed up to 40% for 4 seconds. Kimmy also restores 30-40 energy upon casting this skill.

Ultimate Skill – Maximum Charge (Burst)

CD – 28.0/24.0/20.0

skill 3 ultimate kimmy

After a period of charging, Kimmy launches a Luminous Chemical Attack in a designated direction. The projectile will explode upon hitting an enemy (a hero or creep,) or reaching the maximum range, dealing 130-260 (+100% Total Physical Attack) (+115% Total Magic Power)–130-260 (+185% Total Physical Attack) (+211% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to the primary target (scales with charging time) and 83% damage to nearby enemies. Kimmy restores 30 energy if this skill hits an enemy.

Skill-up method for Kimmy

Unlock Skill 1 Energy Transformation followed by Skill 2 Chemical Refinement. Unlock Ultimate Maximum Charge at level 4. Prioritize upgrading the Skill 1 to max first as it is your primary source of dealing damage followed by Skill 2 and upgrade her Ultimate whenever available. Skill 1 >> Ultimate >> Skill 2.

Emblem Setup

The Custom Mage emblem is the best emblem for Kimmy when playing her as an offlaner in the Gold lane or as a hyper carry.

Use Talent points in Agility in Tier 1 which gives +2.00/4.00/6.00% movement speed and Observation in Tier 2 which gives +2.00/4.00/6.00 magic penetration. Take Mystery Shop in Tier 3 which lets players buy the equipment for 90% of its price.

Battle Spells

Purify

Immediately removes all negative effects. In the next 1.2 seconds, gain control immunity and 15% Movement Speed. It comes in handy to counter a heavy-CC line-up dedicated to shutting you down. Watch out for heroes that have incredible speeds to catch you and have CCs and displacement skills to lock and isolate you.

Flicker

Moves a certain distance in a designated direction. Then gains 6 (+1 x Hero Level) Physical and Magic Defense for 1 second. Flicker is an extremely good mobility skill that can be used as an evasive maneuver or can be used offensively as well.

Best Builds for Kimmy in Mobile Legends

One can try many builds on Kimmy. All which one needs to do is to just follow the enemy’s pick and then decide the role on the battlefield. We have set out the following template to try out with Kimmy on the battlefield.

  • Start off the match by buying Arcane boots which give +10 magic penetration. Players can also build either Warrior boots/Tough Boots to gain early game defense. The Type of boots will depend on the Enemy lineup as well.
  • Players need to buy the core items of the build next which are the Ice Queen wand and Berserker’s Fury. Ice Queen Wand provides +75 Magic Power, +10% Magic Lifesteal, +150 Mana, and +7% Movement SPD. Its unique passive Ice Bound makes Kimmy’s Skills that deal damage to an enemy hero slows them by 15%. This effect lasts 3s. Stacks up to 2 times.
  • This should be followed by building Berserker’s Fury which provides +65 Physical ATK and +25% Crit Chance and also increases Crit Damage by 40%. It’s unique passive is Doom which on Crit hit will increase the hero’s Physical Attack by 5% for 2s.

  • Players should build Genius Wand next which provides +75 Magic Power, +5% Movement SPD and +10 Magic Penetration. Its unique passive Magic on dealing damage to enemy heroes will reduce their Magic Defense by 2~9 for 2s (the Defense reduction scales with level). Stacks up to 3 times.
  • Players can also build Holy Crystal which provides +100 Magic power and its passive Mystery increases Magic Power by 21-35% scaling with level.
  • Divine Glaive should be bought during the end game of the match when opponents will have some sort of magic defense in their build. Divine Glaive has a unique passive Spellbreaker which for every point of enemy’s Magic defense increases magi penetration by 0.1% when dealing damage capped at 20%.
  • For the final item, players can make either Winter Truncheon or Immortality based on whichever’s passive is available.

Mobile Legends Kimmy Gameplay Tips

Although she is a marksman, Kimmy’s ultimate ability to deal both physical or magical damage depending on the build makes her unique from other marksmen. However, a player must need a good understanding of the map to bring the best out of any hero. According to her gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our Mobile Legends Kimmy guide includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late game.

Early Game

At level 1, unlock Skill 1 followed by Skill 2. While laning constantly use Skill 1 and use Kimmy’s unique mechanic to be able to move and shoot to harass enemies and force them to recall, use their Battle Spells or waste their regen. Use Skill 2 to disengage from a fight or to dodge skills. Skill 2 can also be used to refill energy. Players must exercise serious map awareness to detect missing heroes that may be out there hiding to gank. Kimmy’s Ultimate can be used to check bushes as well.

Mid Game

This is the phase where players can snowball fast and hard. Mid-game is the highest peak of Kimmy in terms of power and effectiveness, players must take advantage of this and secure an early win if they can, or build-up from kills and taking down turret for a significant gold advantage.

Players should keep a mix of both aggressive and cautious mindsets as they play in this phase. Always have an eye on the map and rotate to help your teammates in securing objectives like killing the turtle, stealing enemy buff, or creeps after clearing lane minions. One of the other objectives is to take down as many outer turrets as players can in this phase.

Late Game

This is the point of the game where your positioning and timing will be the most crucial. Kimmy’s damage may seem to fall off purely in comparison in respect to a late-game marksman hero, but do not discount Kimmy’s reach and range which can just be the trump card. With a good tank peeling for Kimmy, she can wreak havoc from the backline, and the Passive slow from the Ice Queen Wand item also acts as great support by slowing enemies in a team fight.

Kimmy can steal Lord with an exceptionally timed use of her Ultimate as well. If your team is in a lead with most of the enemies’ turrets taken down, it’s best to freeze lanes such that enemies can’t kill the minions to get gold. Try split pushing after taking down lord, don’t let lord go waste. Also, in the final stages when going to destroy enemy nexus focus on targeting the nexus instead of trying to kill enemies if you have minions.

Final Thoughts

Kimmy is a strong Gold laner as she is right now and can also be played in the Mid lane. Her early to mid-game is pretty strong and she can snowball a game if she has the gold advantage. Her unique maneuverability makes her good in lanes and teamfights while allowing her to attack freely in all directions. Kimmy however is pretty squishy and if marked by enemies and go down easily without support from teammates.

Though she falls off to other meta marksman heroes like Clint, Brody, Beatrix she can still outplay them with some support and peel from the tank. These tips will surely help you to guide easy wins with Kimmy in Mobile Legends. You can also refer to our latest tier list to know more about the revamped meta heroes in this current season.
