Skill Analysis

Estes has three active skills and a passive skill like most other heroes in-game. In this Mobile Legends guide, we will also talk about the skills to use in certain scenarios as well as skill combos to be able to play Estes to his maximum potential.

Passive – Scripture of the Moon Elf

passive estes mlbb

Code of Moon Elves will charge energy into Estes slowly – When it stacks up to 100, it will improve his next Basic Attack, dealing 250 (+100% Total Physical Attack) (+150% Total Magic Power) points of Magic Damage to the target. The damage will then ricochet, dealing 125 (+50% Total Physical Attack) (+75% Total Magic Power) points of Magic Damage to nearby enemies and slowing them by 60% for 1.5 seconds.

Skill 1 – Moonlight Immersion (Heal)

CD – 11.0/10.2/9.4/8.6/7.8/7.0 (Normal)
8.8/8.2/7.5/6.9/6.2/5.6 (Enhanced)
Mana – 110 / 130 / 150 / 170 / 190 / 210

skill 1 estes mlbb

Estes grants 200/230/260/290/320/350 (+70% Total Magic Power) Heal to himself or an ally immediately and Estes will slowly grant the ally or himself 325/350/375/400/425/450 (+30% Total Magic Power) Heal for 3 seconds. Using both parts of this skill can grant 525/580/635/690/745/800 (+100% Total Magic Power) Heal on a single ally.

Linking with an ally will also increase his Physical Attack by (+40% Linked Ally’s Physical Attack) and increase the charging speed of Scripture of the Moon Elf. Being too far from the target will break the link and stop all healing and Physical Attack bonuses.

Skill 2 – Domain of Moon Goddess (CC, AoE)

CD – 12.0/11.5/11.0/10.5/10.0/9.5
Mana – 80/90/100/110/120/130

skil 2 estes mlbb

Estes drops a flood of moonlight upon the designated area, dealing 350/400/450/500/550/600 (+70% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to enemies in the area. Afterward, it turns to a domain of Moon Goddess for 1.5 seconds, slowing them by 90% when enemies touch the border of the domain area.

Ultimate Skill – Blessing of Moon Goddess (Buff, Heal)

CD – 55.0/50.0/45.0
Mana – 150/250/350

ultimate skill estes

Estes will grant nearby allies 400/460/520/580/640/700 (+140% Total Magic Power) Heal immediately and 1170/1260/1350/1440/1530/1620 (+105% Total Magic Power) Heal over the course of 8 seconds. Meanwhile, Estes will grant himself 400/460/520/580/640/700 (+140% Magic Power) Heal immediately and grant himself 1260/1440/1620 (+105% Total Magic Power) Heal over the course of 8 seconds.

Linking with 1/2/3/4 allies using this skill increases Estes’ Physical Attack by 60%/35%/30%/30% of Each Linked Ally’s Physical Attack. For 8 seconds, Estes will enhance Moonlight Immersion.png Moonlight Immersion. Upon activation of Blessing of Moon Goddess, Moonlight Immersion will become enhanced for 8 seconds which resets and has a separate cooldown of 8.8/8.2/7.5/6.9/6.2/5.6.

It will now grant the linked ally 400/460/520/580/640/700 (+140% Total Magic Power) Heal immediately and 1170/1260/1350/1440/1530/1620 (+105% Total Magic Power) Heal over 8 seconds. Using both parts of this skill can grant 1570/1720/1870/2020/2170/2320 (+245% Total Magic Power) Heal on a single ally. Healing over time does not stack (see notes below) and allies can only be healed by Enhanced Moonlight Immersion’s Heal numbers.

Casting the Blessing of Moon Goddess while Moonlight Immersion is still healing over time will cancel it and be replaced by Enhanced Moonlight Immersion Heal over time. Healing over time does not stack. Estes will gain an extra 15% movement speed when he links to an ally.

Skill-up method for Estes

Unlock Skill 2, Domain of Moon Goddess followed by Skill 1, Moonlight Immersion. Unlock Ultimate Skill Blessing of Moon Goddess at level 4. Prioritize upgrading the Skill 1 to max first followed by his Ultimate when available. Upgrade his Skill 2 at last. Skill 1 >> Ultimate >> Skill 2.

Best Builds for Estes in Mobile Legends

One can try many builds on Estes. All which one needs to do is to just follow the enemy’s pick and then decide the role on the battlefield. We have set out the following template in our guide to try out with Estes on the Mobile Legends battlefield.

  • Start off the match by buying the Favor blessed roaming boots. Players can build Magic Shoes which gives a +10% cooldown reduction. Players can also build either Warrior boots or Tough Boots to gain early game defense. The Type of boots will depend on the Enemy line.
  • Players need to buy the core item of the build next which is the Enchanted Talisman. Enchanted Talisman provides +250 HP, +50 Magic Power, +20% CD Reduction. It has two unique passives that are Mana Spring which regenerates 15% of Max Mana every 10s in total and Magic Mastery which increases Max CD Reduction by 5%.
  • Players should build the Dominance Ice item next. It provides +70 Physical Defense, +500 Mana, +5% Movement SPD and its unique passive Arctic Cold reduces the Shield and HP Regen of nearby enemy heroes by 50% (excluding those affected by “Life Drain”), and their Attack Speed by 30% and also gives a 10% cooldown reduction.
  • Players can also build tier 2 items of defense like Silence Robe or Dreadnaught Armor in the early game if they are taking too much damage. These tier 2 defense items work great in the early game as a means of defense without fully committing to buying the tier 3 defense items that will be Athena’s Shield and Antique Cuirass. They can make the tier 3 items after buying the core items like Enchanted Talisman and Dominance Ice.

  • Oracle is also a core item of Estes due to its unique passive Bless which raises shield absorption and healing effect by 30%. This item is not a compulsory core item but can significantly increase Estes’s healing output.
  • Players can build Fleeting Time items as well which provides +70 Magic Power, +350 Mana, and +15% CD Reduction. Its unique passive Timestream reduces Ultimate’s current cooldown by 30% on hero kills or assists. This item comes in handy and makes it possible to keep spamming Estes’s abilities and his Ultimate skill.
  • For the final item, players can make either Winter Truncheon or Immortality based on whichever’s passive is available.
  • Players can also build the support item Necklace of Durance if opponents have high healing/lifesteal heroes present. It provides +60 Magic Power, +10% Magic Lifesteal, and +5% cooldown reduction. Its unique passive Life Drain reduces Shield and HP Regen of the target by 50% for 3s upon dealing damage to the target.

Mobile Legends Estes Gameplay Tips

Although he is a just support hero, Estes has the capability of sustaining his entire team during team fights and bringing the enemy team down. However, a player must need a good understanding of the map to bring the best out of any hero. According to his gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our Mobile Legends Estes guide includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late game.

Early Game

Teammates should try not to pick squishy heroes during the drafting phase as Estes can’t heal them if they get one shot. At level 1, unlock Skill 2 to zone out enemies trying to invade allied Jungler’s buff or while contesting the first Lithowanderer.

estes early mid gameplay 1 mlbb
Estes in Mobile Legends

Unlock Skill 1 next and head to the gold lane to help the allied marksman hero. Rotate towards the first turtle next to contest it. The early game of Estes is not that strong and can be taken down easily if marked by enemies hence players should wait patiently till unlocking Ultimate skill at level 4 before making aggressive plays.

Mid Game

Always remember Estes is an S-tier Support hero and not a tank, so do not initiate teamfights, let the fighter/XP laner initiate first while Estes heals them from the backline. A dead Estes is a good-for-nothing liability on a team hence stay alive and keep the allies alive. Always provide the vision for the teammates. Estes can use his Skill 2 to effectively lively check bushes without going in the bush to check personally. Rotate between lanes and focus on objectives and don’t shy away from a teamfight with Estes’s Ultimate, not on cooldown.

Late Game

With most of his items now, Estes can pretty much carry the game with the sheer amount of sustain he can bring in the teamfights. However, pick fights wisely, don’t overcommit unnecessarily if there is no objective to secure. Provide vision for allied core heroes like mm, mage and jungler.

If Estes casts Blessing of Moon Goddess linking himself to an ally and then casting Enhanced Moonlight Immersion on the same ally, he will heal the ally twice immediately by Enhanced Moonlight Immersion’s instant heal but only one Enhanced Moonlight Immersion will heal over time.

estes late gameplay 2 mobile legends
Estes on the MLBB battlefield

Additionally, if Estes casts Blessing of Moon Goddess and Enhanced Moonlight Immersion on an ally late, it will end prematurely as soon as the 8 second Enhanced period ends. However, if Estes casts the latter on himself, he will refresh the duration – continuing to heal himself by Blessing of Moon Goddess heal over time regardless of the Enhanced period ends and Normal Moonlight Immersion becomes available again. During only this time that he can stack the heal over time of Normal Moonlight Immersion and the extended duration of Enhanced Moonlight Immersion on himself.

Heroes that counter Estes

Heroes with high burst potential Saber, Gusion can take down Estes pretty easily, especially in the game. Even in the late game these heroes can target and burst down another core member of the enemies before Estes even gets an opportunity to heal them.

Also, Baxia is also a good counter for Estes as he can apply the anti-heal effect with his ultimate which can counter Estes’s ultimate in teamfight scenarios. Luo Yi is also pretty good against Estes as she can easily cc and burst down enemies when they group up in teamfights to benefit from Estes’s Ultimate. Players can also build anti heal items like Dominance Ice on tanks and fighters, Necklace of Durance on mages and Sea Halberd on marksman, and some fighter heroes to counter Estes’s heal.

Best Partners for Estes

Heroes who have high health and pretty good sustain like Hylos, Esmeralda, Yu Zhong, Barats, Balmond, Alpha are very good when drafted along with Estes.

Final Thoughts

Estes is one of the best supports in the game as he is right now. He is pretty much a must-pick/ban type hero in the higher-ranked games. Players can pick Estes for an easy time in ranking up carrying teammates to victory with the sheer strength of healing power alone. In any case that opponents have got Estes already try to pick his counters as mentioned in this guide in your team comp and don’t forget to harass Estes in the early game.

An excellent pick for rank games, Estes is definitely a good pick for the current meta. These tips will surely help you to guide easy wins with Estes in Mobile Legends. You can also refer to our latest tier list to know more about the revamped meta heroes in this current season.
