• The 2022 Miami Grand Prix is set for May 8.

If you have a boss, you’ve probably had an important message that was lost in a game of telephone: either you’re going through a tunnel, they’re going through a tunnel, or the call simply drops. Well, apparently, Formula 1 drivers aren’t immune to these problems—at least, not in fun teasers ahead of the Miami Grand Prix.

Like a modern Abbott and Costello skit, Christian Horner’s phone call with Perez fails at the end of their conversation and makes Perez think he has to travel to Miami from New York in a day. The only solution: hop into a vintage F1 machine, which was inconspicuously street parked in New York City, and hammer down to the beach.

While this skit is admittedly kind of goofy it does show some fantastic footage of what a Formula 1 machine looks like in city traffic, on dirt roads in the everglades, and on what will become the Miami Grand Prix track.

The 11-minute, 11-second video focuses on the Red Bull Racing team but features cameos from Miami Dolphins cornerback Byron Jones, professional tennis player Reilly Opelka, and professional skateboarders Zion Wright and Jamie Foy. The Red Bull F1 machine also pulls professional wakeboarder Parks Bonifay over some water.

If you can’t wait until May 8 to get your Miami Grand Prix fix, this should help scratch the itch. Check out the video above.
