Genshin Impact has recently released the new big 4.0 Version update, introducing us to the new region of Fontaine, a Nation elevated from the rest of Teyvat and resides within waterfalls. From the previous huge content drop of Version 2.0 and Version 3.0 patch with Inazuma and Sumeru, Fontaine awaits us with a new set of tasks to discover and complete while exploring the new area, one of them being another Reputation System. In this Genshin Impact guide, we will be explaining the Reputation rewards for Fontaine in detail and their numerous uses.
Reputation is a set of tasks to progress and finish, in the form of bounties, requests, exploration progress, and quest completion for each level in order to obtain and unlock various rewards. There are a total of 10 levels of Fontaine Reputation to finish in each city region of Genshin Impact, along with its rewards.
How to Unlock the Fontaine Reputation to get rewards in Genshin Impact
Once players enter the nation of Fontaine, they must head to Court of Fontaine into the Quartier Narbonnais. One will find an NPC named Euphrasie, who will now oversee the Reputation in Fontaine.
Requirements
- Players must be at AR 25 and above, in order to unlock Reputations.
- They must finish Archon Quest Chapter IV: Act II – As Light Rain Falls Without Reason
- Afterward, they must complete the World Quest‘ Steambird Interview’.
Genshin Impact Fontaine Reputation Rewards
In this section of this Genshin Impact guide, we will discuss the different Reputation Rewards for the new Fontaine Region.
Level 1
1. Food Recipe: Steak Tartare (Rarity 3*)
- Effects: Restores 30-34% of Max HP and an additional 600 – 1,900 HP to the selected character.
- Description: A dish of fresh meat that is served raw. Choice meat that has been minced and seasoned goes perfectly well with raw egg yolk. It is unknown who came up with the idea. It might be a starving adventurer’s desperate attempt at keeping their belly full.
- Ingredients: Raw Meat ×3, Bird Egg ×3, Onion ×3, Marcotte ×2
Level 2 (450 EXP)
1. Furnishing Blueprint: Distributed Forward Supply Depot
- Materials: Cypress Wood x6, Fabric x6
2. Furnishing Blueprint: Meka Luminaire: Radiant Countryside
- Materials: Mallow Wood x6, Iron Chunk x6
Players also will be unlocking ‘Fontaine Mining Outcrop Search.’ Just like the other regions, players will get the locations of the ores that they can mine all around Fontaine. Firstly, they must head to the regional Blacksmith named ‘Estelle.’ at the Court of Fontaine and talk to her. After a while, one must ask her the dialogue option ‘What about ores in Fontaine?’. She will then pin the locations of the ores on the map.
Level 3 (500 EXP)
1. Gadget: Crystalfly Trap
- Effect: A gadget that can help gather Crystalfly.
- Description: A Crystalfly Trap, developed by a senior researcher named Fawitzki from Fontaine Research Institute of Kinetic Energy Engineering.
After being properly deployed and inserting the required materials, this device will start working and lure Crystalflies inside.
Fawitzki once led research on “Low-Temperature Lighting Devices,” which required a large amount of Crystal Cores as research materials, which led to the development of the Crystalfly Trap.
However, the project was suspended for various reasons.
“We are here to commemorate the diligent Mr. Fawitzki. We sincerely hope that there are those who will carry on his research. The Institute will provide maximum support in any areas deemed appropriate.” - How to Use: After you place the Crystalfly Trap and put specific materials inside, it will begin operation and bait Crystalflies into itself. After a certain period of time, you will be able to retrieve Crystal Cores from within. Make sure you go near an area where Crystalflies are scattered around. Players have to place at least 300 ores of any kind in order to start the mechanism. Afterward, you have to wait around 7 real days for the Crystal Cores to accumulate. The amount of Crystal Cores depends on the area you place the gadget. Usually, you can receive 15 Crystals but in the Sumeru Desert area, you can obtain 21 Crystal Cores.
Level 4 (550 EXP)
1. Namecard: Fontaine Wondrous Machine
Description: The symbol of the energy blocks used by all of Fontaine’s clockwork meka. There was once a great debate over whether it should be registered as a trademark, but in the end, the public was simply called upon not to use it too freely.
2. Recipe: Fruity Trio (Rarity 3*)
- Effect: Decreases all party members’ climbing and sprinting Stamina consumption by 20% for 900s. In Co-Op Mode, this effect only applies to your own character(s).
- Description: A dessert with a romantic flair. Add jam and fillings made from Bulle Fruit into tart shells and spread some meringue over the top before baking in the oven. The dish offers three fruity aromas all in one bite, making it a top choice for post-meal snacks.
- Ingredients: Bulle Fruit x1, Jam x1, Bird Egg x1, Marcotte x2
Players unlock ‘Fontaine Merchant Discounts’ where the items they buy from local merchants are sold at a lower price. Players will get discounted ingredients in Hotel Debord and in Damoville Purveyor.
Level 5 (600 EXP)
1. Wind-Powered Wind Generator
- Effect: A device that can provide a strong lifting force for the Wind Glider user.
- Description: A wind-generating device developed by Refait, a senior researcher from Fontaine Research Institute of Kinetic Energy Engineering.
After being activated, this device can provide a strong lifting force for the Wind Glider user.
However, due to design limitations, the device requires utilizing significant wind power to activate. The wind energy required is approximately equal to that produced by the working Wind Glider.
“Umm… So you mean I can only activate this device when I’m already using the Wind Glider.”
“But the only reason I even want to activate it is to give my Wind Glider a push!” - How to Use: This gadget is used as a means to generate an upward wind to glide higher. A wind-powered wind generator is a gadget that generates an upward wind current that may be utilized to propel your glider up. Use it to reach high places from the ground up. Just simply use the gadget and a wind will be generated to glide above.
Level 6 (650 EXP)
1. Genius Invokation TCG: Card back – Fontaine
- Description: A Genius Invokation TCG card back that can be obtained and switched around. They say that card backs with different designs also come with minute differences in make and texture. Some players also make collecting cardbacks of different styles their pursuit and hobby.
2. Recipe: Vessie Chicken (Rarity 3*)
- Effects: Increases all party members’ Physical DMG by 35% and CRIT Rate by 8% for 300s. In Co-Op Mode, this effect only applies to your own character(s)
- Description: A famous Fontainian cuisine. “Vessie” means “bladder” in Fontaine. As the name suggests, the seasoned chicken meat is enclosed in a forest boar’s bladder when being poached in a meat broth. The bladder will puff out during the process like a rotund Specter. People usually only eat the chicken meat inside.
- Ingredients: Fowl x4, Raw Meat x4, Marcotte x3, Fermented Juice x2
Level 7 (700 EXP)
1. Furnishing Blueprint: Court of Justice’s Leisure
- Materials: Cypress Wood x10, White Iron Chunk x6
2. Furnishing Blueprint: Court of Justice’s Prosperity
- Materials: Mallow Wood x10, White Iron Chunk x10
Level 8 (750 EXP)
1. Hydroculus Resonance Stone Blueprint
- Description: Detailed step-by-step instructions for making a Hydroculus Resonance Stone. Master them and you will be able to create a tool to guide you to Hydroculi.
- Materials Needed: Rainbow Rose x5, Romaritime Flower x5, Crystal Chunk x1, Mora x500
- How to Use: Simply craft the gadget and equip it from your inventory. Take note that the Hydroculus Resonance Stone is a one-time-use item. The gadget will help you locate Hydroculus near your location or any type of Hydroculus left around Fontaine.
2. Namecard: Fontaine Big News
Description: The trademarked logo of The Steambird. If you are discovered using it without first obtaining prior permission, we will uphold our rights and prosecute the offense to the fullest extent of the law!
Level 9 (800 EXP)
1. Hydro Treasure Compass Blueprint
- Description: A detailed step-by-step diagram for making a Hydro Treasure Compass. Use it to easily locate treasure all over Fontaine.
- Materials Needed: Golden Raven Insignia x10, Beryl Conch x30, Crystal Chunk x50, Mora x50,000
- How to Use: Just like the other regional compasses, this gadget will help you track all the Chests (Common, Exquisite, Precious, Luxurious, and Remarkable) in the Fontaine region. Be sure to note that there is a cooldown with the gadget. If you find a chest around you then the cooldown would be 300 seconds whereas if the compass does not find any chests near your location the cooldown is 5 seconds.
Level 10 (850 EXP)
1. Wind Glider: Wings of Merciful, Wrathful Waters
The last reward gives the player a cosmetic item, the region’s signature Wind Glider with its Fontaine motifs all around it.
